An infrared blend provides natural pain relief by reducing inflammation and swelling while near IR LED’s penetrate the tissue to promote cellular repair at a medium, constant intensity level. Cabin temperatures during the pain relief program range from 135 – 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Balance program is designed for those who enjoy the extreme heat in the cabin at around 155F. The main purpose of this 30 minute session is to encourage the body to sweat. If you like the feeling of intense heat and perspiration then this is the program for you.
Traditional heaters such as hot rock or steam saunas warm the air. Infrared saunas heat the body, making it a more gentle and pleasant experience. Infrared saunas operate at a lower temperature than traditional heaters. Thus there is less experience with shortness of breath or heat exhaustion. Infrared saunas are seven times more effective than traditional saunas. Infrared saunas produce sweat composed of 20% toxins versus only 3% in a traditional sauna.

Infrared saunas will heat your body, not the air. The temperature inside the sauna does not dictate the benefit or quality of your sauna session. Bear this in mind when seeing and experiencing the ambient temperature inside the sauna.
In their book Beyond Antibiotics, Drs. Michael A. Schmidt et al. state the following: “Saunas are being used by some doctors to stimulate the release of toxins from the bodies of their patients. They have found that a lower temperature (105-125 F) sauna taken for a longer duration is most beneficial. These low temperatures stimulate a fat sweat, which eliminates toxins stored in fat, as opposed to the high temperature sauna, which encourages a water sweat.”
Please follow your doctor’s instructions if they recommend using a lower temperature (which is still beneficial).
We book 30 to 40 minute sauna sessions depending on your program choice. We allow 10 minutes in our wellness room for a quick cleanse and change. Additional time spent in the room causes delays with arriving appointments, so please be considerate of others.
Please arrive on time or early! We try to accommodate as many of our clients as possible, so we book the rooms back to back with enough time in between to clean and get things ready for the next client. Because of this we ask that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment start time and make sure you vacate the room when your booked time is up.
We do not recommend the sauna for pregnant or breastfeeding women
We do not recommend sauna for anyone wearing a pacemaker or external defibrillator
Please let us know about any chronic medical conditions and prescription drugs you are currently taking
Please let us know about any joint replacements, and any implanted metal pins and rods
Do not use the sauna if your temperature is 99 degrees F or above or if you feel unwell
Please no unsupervised children under the age of 16
No cell phone use inside the sauna ( you can connect to Bluetooth with programs on your phone from the tablet inside the sauna)
Please no shoes in the sauna, (please step on the towel provided)
Please do not eat in the sauna room
Please do not bring ANY beverages into the sauna, (only water is allowed in the room, please leave outside of the sauna)
Please shut the glass door gently. You are welcome to use the remote to chose the colored light you prefer (Chromotherapy)
Please refrain from applying any oils or lotions to your skin prior to entering the sauna
Please remove any lotion or antiperspirant with wet wipes provided before entering sauna
Please put all dirty towels in the hamper provided
